How to Print Shaped Cards and Invitations
Prepare circle, oval, rounded, or arch-shaped cards with a matching cut outline, bleed, and safe spacing.
Choose the finished shape
PrintGrid Pro supports Rectangle, Rounded Rectangle, Circle, Oval, and Arch. Set the finished width and height first. A circle keeps equal width and height, while the other shapes use the size you enter.
Use the shape that matches the artwork you already designed. Custom cutting paths and mixed shapes on one sheet are not supported.
Make sure the artwork covers the shape
A shaped card hides the parts of the source outside the finished outline. Fill and Crop can cover the complete shape, but it may crop part of the image around the edges.
Keep names, dates, faces, and logos away from the edge. Check every side of a circle, oval, rounded corner, or arch in the preview.
Understand the cut outline, bleed, and safe guide
The cut outline shows the finished edge and can be printed when enabled. Bleed sits outside that edge. The safe guide sits inside it and appears only in the preview.
When color should reach the edge, extend the background through the bleed area in the source design. Increasing bleed cannot invent missing artwork.
Arrange copies on Letter or A4
Choose the paper, margins, gap, and quantity, then inspect the whole sheet. Extra bleed and cutting space can reduce the number of shaped cards that fit.
Repeat one design, add several same-size designs, or pair Front and Back artwork. Every item in one layout must use the same finished size and shape.
Test the print and cutting method
Print one sheet at Actual size or 100%, measure the finished width and height, and cut one sample with the tool you plan to use.
The PDF gives you a visible cutting guide. It does not control a cutting machine or guarantee the accuracy of the printer, material, cutter, or operator.
